Every two weeks, Career Horizons hosts a structured JobTalk Networking Events on Mercer Island for active job hunters that is designed to help people get out of the house, meet some new acquaintances, and deepen their knowledge of the job searching and career management process. The agenda for each event varies from session to session, but typically involves a presentation from either an outside guest or Career Horizons representative on a specific career-related topic, combined with a series of structured icebreakers and networking exercises. On May 9th the outside guest will be yours truly and I'll be presenting on personal branding. The talk will be equally applicable to job hunters as to self-employed business owners (you are your brand after all!) Take a long lunch, meet some new people and learn!
